மாண்புமிகு துணைநிலை ஆளுநரின் விவரக்குறிப்பு

Mr.K. Kailashnathan is a very senior member of Indian Administrative Service (IAS – 1979 Batch) (Retd.). He worked as Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary to Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat from year 2006-2013. After superannuation from his service he has been continuously appointed as Chief Principal Secretary to the Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat from May, 2013 to June,2024 having total experience of 18 years in the Gujarat Chief Minister Office (CMO). In addition to this he was also Chairman of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. He is Chairman of Executive Council, Mahatma Gandhi Sabarmati Ashram Memorial Trust entrusted with the Gandhi Ashram Redevelopment Project.

He was a Member of Board of Directors of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (GSPCL) and Member, Governing Body of UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre.

Mr. Kailashnathan is a Post Graduate in M.Sc. (Chem.) and M.A. [Economics (U.K.)]. In his earlier assignments he was closely associated with Industrial development and privatization of Ports in Gujarat. He has also wide experience in Urban Sector, in his capacity as Municipal Commissioner in Ahmedabad and Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department. His other experience in Infrastructure Sector relates to Drinking-Water Supply in establishing a Drinking Water Pipeline ‘Grid’ in Gujarat State. Working for 45 years for Government of Gujarat, he is credited with the implementation of several key Projects and various Programmes in Gujarat.
