Karaikal region has been bifurcated into two namely North and South under the control of the Superintendent of Police each. The Senior Superintendent of Police is the overall controlling authority for the Police Department. This Department keeps a constant vigil against the criminal activities if any in this region and if deducted it is curbed at the initial stage itself. Their service keeps this are a peaceful one. A coastal Police Station is also functioning here with the aim of arresting any criminals entering this region through coastal belt. A Food cell squad and Excise squad under the supervision of Civil Supplies Department and Revenue Department.

FIRE SERVICE

One Fire station under the control of the Fire Officer has been functioning in this region. They attend calls from the public relating to the fire accidents and also station fire engines as a precautionary measures at the festival times to avoid any untoward incidents. They are also cautioning the people to be vigilant while bursting crackers during religious festivals.
